A s at the end of 2025, more than 17,000 postcards messages have travelled fr om Canada to Ukraine’s front lines.Helen Bajorek and Jean-Michel Komarnicki have invited Canadians to write postcards by holding information and postc ard-writing sessions at Legion Halls, in schools, in church basements at nu merous community events, and even via Zoom with organizations across Canada . Their workshop includes an introduction to writing Ukrainian, with encour agement to try to write at least one sentence in Ukrainian to foster a sens e of solidarity through the written word.
