Bobby Sox and Bicycles with Margaret Rodgers

In celebration of International Women's Day, author Margaret Rodger s will read from her book-in-progress, "Maple Park" - a coming-of-age chron icle about her life in a 1950s subdivision. Artwork and original photograph s will accompany the reading.

Margaret is an artist, writer, and cura tor. Her works have been published in numerous publications and she’s been a leader in the contemporary art community of Durham Region since the 1990s .

She is the founder of The IRIS Group Women Artists Collective, has taught at Durham and Centennial Colleges, and was Director/Curator at the V isual Arts Centre of Clarington. In June 2022 she was the recipient of the Oshawa Culture Counts Professional Artist Award.
