The City of Pickering is launching an exciting new initiative that seeks to ensure that the lives of Pickering Residents are enriched by programs a nd services that support active and engaging activities in our community.&n bsp; The City of Pickering will be exploring the opportunities of building more inclusive and more accessible programs for City for residents througho ut this pandemic.

Don’t miss the opportunity to pick up your first “C urb Side Pick-up” program package on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Chestnut Hill Development Recreation Co mplex.  Each Tuesday, the City of Pickering will offer a new Curb Side Pick-up Program activity that children can purchase for two dollars. The k it includes all the materials and instructions needed for the activity of t he week.

On May 5th, 2020 childre n will be able to pick up an 8 inch Terracotta pot, planting soil, flower s eeds, paint and a paint brush to create their own planting and painting mas ter piece from the comfort of their own home. Meet City staff at the front of the roundabout, drop your Toonie in a basket and pick up your activity k it. This is a great way to keep engaged with City of Pickering program s while continuing to practice social distancing.
