PARKWOOD ESTATE OFFERING BASEMENT TOURS TO VISITORS
Celebrate McLaughlin Week at Parkwood Estate, National Historic Site, with a tour of the
basement of the mansion. This rare opportunity, offered once a year, enables the visitor a
glimpse into the service areas of the estate including the family vault; the central
clockworks system; the elevator engine room, and more.
This year the Basement Tour program has been sponsored by Central Drain and Plumbing Sevices.
The tour of the basement interprets what it was like to run the 55- room mansion, the industrial complex needed to operate the lifestyle of the McLaughlin Family. Tours are available Saturday July 30, 2022 through Sunday August 7 from 10:30 to 5:00pm at $15.00 per person.
Be sure to pre book your tickets on line through the Parkwood website eventpage www.parkwoodestate.com.
It is advisable to do so, as some of the time slots are selling out!!
