Heidi Kisil is a first time book publisher and holding her first book launch event at the Oshawa Centre Indigo this Saturday July 20th from 11am-4pm.
Her book is a collaborative effort with my late sister-in-law who passed from ovarian cancer in 2002. She published the book in 2017 as a children’s book called “Max and Auntie Ogie at the Beach”. The book is about a little boy and his aunt exploring all there is to see along the ocean shore and learning to overcome his fear of water and the life within it. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to Cancer Care Ontario and Ovarian Cancer chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society. Books will also be available for purchase at a special event price.
